Liana Minkova

Member of the managing board

Liana Minkova was born on November, 4th in 1993. She has a BA in International Politics from King’s College London and an award for Best Overall Performance. Her undergraduate thesis on the role of oil and gas in foreign policy, with reference to Russia and Saudi Arabia, received the highest grade in the Department of Political Economy. Liana has done internships at the Bulgarian National Assembly, the Office of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Bulgarian Embassy in London. While at King’s, she was chosen to participate as a research fellow in a project evaluating and comparing the quality of democracy in Central and Eastern Europe.

Liana holds an MPhil in International Relations and Politics from the University of Cambridge, with a particular focus on international security and human rights. She is a PhD student in Politics and International Studies at the University of Cambridge and has received a full studentsip from the Arts and Humanities Research Council. Her research proposal examines the compatibility of the concept of individual criminal responsibility with the collective nature of international crimes.
